Its pretty remarkable how an idea on a tour bus can go from a packed gathering of friends at Douglas Corner in Nashville, TN on a Monday night in 2016 to becoming one of the most anticipated and celebrated jam style shows Nashville hosts three times a year (four if you count the cruise ship shows on board the Monsters Of Rock Cruise). Tyson Leslie started Rare Hare in 2015 and was initially supposed to be a band. But after performing in Tom Hursts Loud Jamz series, an idea came to mind about making Rare Hare more of a jam than a band. In January of 2016, the first show happened at Douglas Corner and featured Eric Brittingham of Cinderella, Paul Taylor of Winger, and Anthony Corder of Tora Tora. The second show was hosted at The Basement East and featured a performance by the band Faster Pussycat. Rare Hare has now featured some of hard rock and heavy metals most legendary musicians, is featured on board the Monsters Of Rock Cruise every year and was also featured on the Megadeth cruise in 2019.
