Grateful Dead Celebrates 60 Years with Art and Photography Exhibit in Las Vegas

Animazing Gallery in Las Vegas is set to host a spectacular Grateful Dead Art and Photography Exhibit to mark the band’s 60th anniversary. This event will coincide with Dead & Company’s “Dead Forever – Live at Sphere” concerts running from March 22 through May 17.

The exhibit will feature works by legendary Grateful Dead artists including Stanley Mouse, known for his iconic skeleton and roses image, and Jay Blakesberg, a renowned photographer who has documented the Grateful Dead experience for decades. Also showcased will be the works of Chloe Weir, daughter of Grateful Dead member Bobby Weir, and historical images curated by Ricki Blakesberg from Retro Photo Archive.

One of the highlights will be the debut of the “Jerry Gnome,” a limited edition bronze statue celebrating Jerry Garcia, crafted by Bay Area artist Zim Caroselli. Additionally, a life-size statue of Jerry Garcia by artist Larry “Rubber” Torro and a custom Gibson SG guitar featuring Jerry Garcia’s original stage-played humbucker pickup will be on display.

To make the experience even more special, fans will have the chance to meet the artists during personal appearances at the gallery. A notable event will be held on Bicycle Day, April 19, celebrating the psychedelic revolution with unique Blotter Art on display.

“This will be a powerful show, featuring some of the most recognizable Grateful Dead art and photography in one place,” said Nick Leone, owner of Animazing Gallery. “This collection really shows many of the most iconic works that have visually defined the Grateful Dead’s long strange trip!”
